Now that Michael Strahan has put in his two weeks notice, one of LIVE's former hosts is sharing her take on all the drama. Kathie Lee Gifford, of course, famously sat in the LIVE hosting chair alongside Regis Philbin for decades. And now that Kelly Ripa and Strahan have a few more broadcasts to complete before he bids the show farewell, she's offering up some advice on how they should proceed.
“Be totally professional,” the Today host, who left LIVE in 2000, told Fox411. "I would keep anything that is going on between you private… It’s nobody’s business but yours. But always, always be professional at your job. That’s what you’re hired to do.”
There has been plenty of chatter surrounding the show in the last week. It was initially announced Michael would be leaving LIVE in September for an expanded role at Good Morning America – news that reportedly blindsided his longtime co-host. After nearly a week-long absence from LIVE, Kelly returned to the show on April 26, joking that "our long national nightmare is over." That same day, it was announced Michael's last day at LIVE will be May 13.
Now it's only a matter of time before the show's title becomes LIVE with Kelly and Insert Some Lucky Person's Name Here.
In the meantime, check out photos of Kelly hanging out in the WWHL Clubhouse, below.
