Kenya Moore Revisits Apollo Texting-Gate
The RHOA star insists it's "not that big a deal."
When Kandi Burruss and Kenya Moore stopped by Bethenny: No Limits to chat about the upcoming season of The Real Housewives of Atlanta, talk turned pretty quickly to texting—or texting married men, specifically.
As we know, Kenya's a self-proclaimed booty pro and aspiring fitness video star—and that's lead to some tension between Kenya and Phaedra Parks, who's also got her own booty-centric workout video. As revealed last season, Kenya and Phaedra's husband Apollo had been having sending each other questionable texts despite Kenya's claim that she's really not interested in him.
Today, Bethenny Frankel dug deeper and asked Kenya what the deal was with texting Apollo. And her stance on the issue was "simple."
"I think it'll reveal itself on the show, but I made a comment because someone said something that wasn't nice about me, and I'm like, well, if you don't care for me, and you think I'm all these negative things, then stop texting me!" she told Bethenny. Kandi interjected, saying that Phaedra showed her a "Hey babe" text Kenya had sent Apollo's way, but Kenya brushed it off.
"I think it's ridiculous to think you can never text a married person that's of the opposite sex … I think it's appropriate if your wife knows."
Bethenny also addressed some more rumors going around, except this time they dealt with a missed connection with a famous rapper: Kanye West. Turns out timing's everything, and Kenya—who had a boyfriend at the time—found the rap superstar to be "very talented" and "charming," but not enough to ditch her beau. "I have met him before, and I thought he was a really great guy," she says. And did Kanye feel the same way about Kenya? She said it all with a hair flip. "Of course!"
How do you think this texting drama is going to play out this season on RHOA? Do you think she's telling the truth about Kanye? Let us know in the comments.
