Kim Richards grabbed headlines when she was arrested at the Beverly Hills Hotel last April. Now The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills actress is speaking out about what really happened that night. "I drank that night. No excuses," Kim told Andy Cohen during her Watch What Happens Live one-on-one airing Tuesday, March 8 at 8:30/7:30c (clip above).

Shortly before the arrest, Kim explained that she had a lot of stress in her life. Her son Chad Davis was ill and her ex-husband Monty Brinson was battling cancer. "I stopped taking the time for me and going to meetings because I was taking care of other people and stopped taking care of myself," Kim said.

Lisa Rinna questioning Kim's sobriety on RHOBH and further inquiries into the state of her health by the tabloids drove her to have a glass of wine at home with a friend about two weeks before the arrest. On the night of the arrest, Kim visited her son and then went to see her daughter Brooke Wiederhorn. While catching up on RHOBH and working on her Bravotv.com blog at her daughter's house, Kim had a drink. "I felt horribly guilty and I thought, I need to go home. I can't be at my daughter's house like this. This is terrible," Kim said.

As Kim started to head home in her car, she realized that she shouldn't be drinking and driving, so she pulled into the nearby Beverly Hills Hotel to sit and wait while she sobered up. Kim wanted to sit in her usual booth at a hotel restaurant, but an employee wouldn't allow her to do so because it was closing. "He said, 'If you don't leave we're calling the police,' and I really thought he was joking, and he called the police. And one thing led to another," Kim explained.

Police were called to the hotel around 1:30 a.m. after a report of a "possible fight," according to a statement released by the Beverly Hills Police Department and obtained by The Daily Dish after the incident last April. Kim was eventually charged with public intoxication, trespassing, resisting an officer, and battery on a police officer, according to the statement.

Kim pled no contest to one count misdemeanor of resisting arrest last September. She was sentenced to three years' probation and ordered to serve 30 days of community labor as well as ordered to complete 52 weeks of Alcoholics Anonymous meetings. Kim was also told she must stay away from the Polo Lounge in the Beverly Hills Hotel.

As we saw earlier this season of RHOBH, Kim was also arrested last August for shoplifting after allegedly stealing upwards of $600 from Target. Kim reached a plea deal in connection with the case and was sentenced to 52 AA meetings, three years probation, 300 hours of community service, and two days in jail, which she was given time served on, according to the office of the Los Angeles City Attorney. She must also stay away from the Van Nuys Target in which she was arrested last summer.

However, Kim kept quiet about that incident when she sat down with Andy. "It's a legal issue, and I can't discuss that," Kim said in regards to her Target arrest.

Kim is sure to give us more updates on her life since last season of RHOBH. Be sure to tune in to the WWHL One-on-One with Kim Tuesday, March 8 at 8:30/7:30c.
