Kim Richards' ex-husband Monty Brinson passed away after a long battle with cancer, and now The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills mom is speaking out about her loss for the first time. "Yesterday I said goodbye to [the] best the friend I've ever had in my life.. Monty was an amazing person with an amazing soul ... We shared over 30 years of Love & Happiness and brought a beautiful daughter into [the] world. I am so grateful for all that we shared," Kim wrote in the caption to a photo of the pair on Instagram Monday. "I love you Monty my angel in heaven .. and I know that we [will] be together again one day. I will carry you in my heart always my love...until then, may you rest in peace."
Kim and Monty were married from 1985 to 1988 and had one daughter together, Brooke, who is now 29 years old. The couple remained close since the divorce with Kim by Monty's side as he struggled with lung cancer during his later years.
Kim's sister and RHOBH castmate Kyle Richards also posted a loving tribute to her former brother-in-law Monday. "We love you @montybrinson you will be missed dearly," Kyle wrote on Instagram. "The kindest , gentlest soul who inspired so many with his positive attitude throughout his battle with cancer. May you rest in peace now..."
Monty also received some love from Kim and Kyle's fellow 'Wives.
