Lisa Hochstein Opens Up About Surrogacy Nightmare
After an emotional experience, the RHOM star says she's ready to try once more.
After attempting to conceive for five trying years, Lisa Hochstein and her plastic surgeon husband Lenny, are looking for a surrogate. Lisa proclaims, "It will happen – a baby is coming next season!”
"I didn’t always agree with going this route," the Real Housewives of Miami star admits in a new interview with In Touch Weekly. "But," Lisa says, "I’m in a much better place now and I can’t wait anymore."
Lisa and Lenny's baby frustration only grew when, after first deciding to seek a surrogate, the woman they selected had to back out of the deal due to personal issues.
"It was a nightmare,” says Lisa, who is committed to finding the perfect person after previously admitting the thought of not carrying her baby made her "uncomfortable." "I want to make sure their heart’s in the right place. It’s so important to be compatible.”
Although she has decided to use a surrogate, Lisa hopes to play a big role in her child's life throughout the pregnancy. “I’m going to be very hands-on. I’ll want to know what she’s doing at all times," she says of her future surrogate. "I’ll even send her food if she wants me to!”
More determined than ever to make her baby dreams a reality despite recent setbacks, Lisa declares, “We will never give up.”
