Lisa Rinna Defends Chaz Dean's Controversial WEN Hair Care Product

Amidst the ongoing controversy surrounding Chaz Dean's WEN hair care products, The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills actress Lisa Rinna is publicly defending the product. According to People, 200 customers have joined together for a class-action lawsuit in California Federal Court against the brand and infomercial company Guthy-Renker alleging that using the 5-in-1 sulfate-free Cleansing Conditioner led to hair loss and scalp burns. Additionally, the suit adds that the company did not warn customers of the dangers of using the product quickly enough once complaints first came in, and even removed negative reviews from social media. Still, Lisa is standing by the product, which she has been using on her famous hair for over 20 years.

In addition to Lisa, WEN boasts Brooke Shields, Alyssa Milano, and Nicollette Sheridan as other high-profile clients. WEN and Chaz Dean have since released a statement regarding the allegations brought against them. “There is no scientific evidence to support any claim that our hair care products caused anyone to lose their hair. There are many reasons why individuals may lose their hair, all unrelated to WEN. We intend to vigorously contest the allegations made," the statement reads. “We take great pride in the quality of our products and believe every product meets our high standards. We want all of our customers to have positive experiences with our products, and we encourage any customer with any questions to contact us.”
