Lizzy Caplan: Why I Love the Real Housewives
The Emmy nominee reveals why our stars deserve their own trophies.
Masters of Sex star Lizzie Caplan likes her drama when it is real. Like table flipping real. Or, even say, prosthetic leg throwing real.
And that's why the Emmy-nominated actress loves to tune into Bravo to see what The Real Housewives Of [Insert City Here] might be up to on any given day.
She owned up to her Real Housewives fanaticism in a recent interview with The New York Times. And with the Emmy Awards slated to air tonight, she's kind of surprised none of the ladies or series have been nominated for some hardware.
"Clearly they all deserve Emmys for those riveting performances as normal human beings," she told the publication. "I find reality television to be so delectable. I cannot even fully express how much it means to me."
While she didn't name which city is her favorite to watch, she did break down why she is so fascinated by the housewives and reality TV in general.
She explained, "It's this idea of taking a somewhat normal human being and then putting them on this frying pan of fame."
