By Lauren Metz

While many people were shocked by 26-year-old Jack Osbourne’s recent multiple sclerosis diagnosis, The Real Housewives of New York City’s LuAnn de Lesseps shares a personal connection to Jack’s struggle.

"Not many people know this but over twenty years ago, my brother Jeff was diagnosed with MS," the ‘Wife reveals in her weekly column for OK! Magazine.

Keeping a positive attitude, the Countess – and former nurse -- continues, "In the years since Jeff’s diagnosis, researchers have developed new medications and other therapies and I’m hopeful that a cure will be found one day."

Just two weeks after the birth of his first child, daughter Pearl with fiancé Lisa Stelly, Jack received the troubling diagnosis after seeking medical help when his vision began to fail. "It's just one of those things you take as it comes. It's all about your outlook," the rock and roll offspring tells People. "My life is far from over."

Applauding Ozzy, Sharrrrrrron, and Jack’s candid honesty about his condition, LuAnn adds, "I respect the Osbourne family’s decision to share Jack’s MS diagnosis with the public because his courage and determination can inspire others affected by this disease."
