Meet Andy Cohen's New Dog
"I felt like I wanted to open my life up to [one]," he says of his pup Wacha.
Andy Cohen has a special new someone in his life: a dog!
"I've been thinking about a dog for a while," he tells the Dish. "I just felt like I wanted to open my life up to a dog and I thought rescuing a dog was the right way to go." His name? "I think I'm going to call him Wacha," says Andy, referring to the pitcher of his beloved St. Louis Cardinals.
Andy just met the pup on Friday, and it was love at first sight—despite this being the the first canine he's ever had. Growing up, Andy only had a bird—"a little parakeet named Pork Chop."
So far, Wacha's adapting to life quite well in New York City. "He's really behaved," says Andy. "The first night, he brought me his leash and was telling me, 'I have to pee!' I was like, 'Wow, this dog is incredible!'"
And Andy's enjoying life as a dog owner too. "I'm just trying to figure it out," he says. "The morning pee run is just going to be killer, but I have to say, this weekend was amazing walking him. He's really great!"
