The Real Housewives of Orange County's #coolstepmom is preparing for a big addition to the family. Meghan King Edmonds confirmed to The Daily Dish that she is expecting a daughter with husband Jim Edmonds. "To say we're thrilled to expand our family is an understatement," Meghan said. "Life will definitely be busy, but we'd have it no other way." You can get a look at Meghan's excitement firsthand, above.
The news comes after Meghan, 31, previously shared that she was ready to start a family with her husband of nearly two years. "Our resolution: spend every min possible with my best friend & to turn our family of 6 into 7! I love u @JimEdmonds!" she wrote on Instagram in January 2016. Meghan and Jim's IVF journey will be seen on Season 11 of The Real Housewives of Orange County, which premieres June 20. "Infertility is a challenge that faces so many, and I hope our story will bring hope to those working to build their family," she explained.
Meghan and Jim wed in October 2014 in a beautiful ceremony in St. Louis. While this is Meghan's first child, Jim has four children from two previous marriages: Lauren, Landon, Hayley, and Sutton. The self-proclaimed "#coolstepmom" has always been played a very active role in her stepchildrens' lives and she's proudly embraced her duties — as fans saw during RHOC Season 10.
Meghan and the rest of the OC ladies will be back for more antics when the Season 11 debuts tonight at 9/8c. Check out a preview, below.
