Melissa Talks 'RHONJ' Feud: I Was Beyond Fed Up!

Teresa Giudice's estranged sister-in-law reacts to the brawl between her husband and Joe Giudice.

By Kevin O'Donnell

It was the smackdown seen 'round the world: Joe Giudice and Joe Gorga had a physical fight after Gorga dissed his estranged sister Teresa, calling her "scum."

How to Watch

Watch The Real Housewives of New Jersey Season 14 premiere May 5th at 8/9c on Bravo and stream next day on Peacock.

Following last night's episode of The Real Housewives of New Jersey, which showed the family on a retreat to work on their feud, Teresa revealed that she didn't want the brawl to happen and says she ran to get help.

Melissa, on the other hand, felt differently and was seen rushing to her husband's defense to break up the fight. And in her latest blog post, she opens up about why she reacted the way she did.

"Watching your husband so upset would make any women see red," she writes. "I toughened up for him. He needed to be strong for our family, and I needed to be strong to back him up. At this point, I was beyond fed up. I had lost hope and believed that the nonsense was never going to end."

She adds that she would do anything to protect her family: "When the brawl started, I just reacted and jumped in to break them apart. I’d jump in front of a moving train for my husband and kids. If my family is threatened in any way, you couldn’t drag me away."

Looking back months after the fight, Melissa stands by her decision—especially after seeing that Teresa and Joe seemed unfazed by the altercation. (The couple retreated to their room afterwards and enjoyed "sexy time" in a hot tub.)

"Now I know that while we were crying, devastated, and embarrassed over in the other room, nothing but giggles and Fabellini toasts," she writes about Teresa and Joe's post-fight activities. "The Giudices must have felt like what just happened was no big deal. They were having sexy time in the hot tub. Hey, whatever floats your boat. I wonder what Filomena 'too much boobie' Giudice would say about her son and daughter-in-law’s Jacuzzi action and his 'I’m going to jerk off'?"
