While she tans during her summer vacation on Corsica (the little Mediterranean island that gave us the even littler Emperor Napoleon) The Real Housewives of New York City's LuAnn de Lesseps can remain in contact with her legions of followers thanks to an ambitious little device of her own. Her Highness of Haute has just launched her own mobile phone application, Countess LuAnn on iTunes.
With a pink and silver icon befitting her bloodlines (a crown atop the interlocking CL initials makes it look like a royal family crest) the app allows LuAnn to do what she does best — dispense advice and share what's on her mind. Thanks to a dozen link features, fans can access her do's and don'ts on everything from love and relationships to linens and lipstick, answer poll questions ("Would you touch a pregnant woman's belly without asking?") and connect to her Facebook and Twitter feeds.
"We anticipate a tremendous amount of downloads due to Countess LuAnn's huge and diverse fan base all over the world," the CEO of Reach Messaging, the app's producer, told OKMagazine.
Early customer reviews have been generally positive, but have also cited some glitches. "This app is cute and perfect for the RHONY fan," said one user who added that the app was marred by misspellings and grammatical errors. Knowing the Countess, she'll see that any problems are fixed promptly because it's the proper thing to do.
