Nene and Gregg Leakes Are Feeling “Blessed Beyond Words"
The Real Housewives of Atlanta ‘Wife sheds more light on her husband’s cancer diagnosis as they look to the future.
Nene Leakes and her husband, Gregg Leakes, had an incredibly trying 2018. In June, The Real Housewives of Atlanta pal revealed that Gregg is battling colon cancer. And even as the couple puts up a brave fight, Nene has been honest about the emotional highs and lows they've faced throughout the past several months. So, to say that this Atlanta pair deserves a bright, shiny new year is an understatement — and it looks like they've already gotten a head start on that.
On New Year's Day, Nene posted a photo of herself and Gregg dressed to the nines, and captioned the image with a holiday greeting that summed up her mood. "Happy New Year! We are blessed beyond words. #2019," she wrote.
Throughout Gregg's battle, he's had tons of support and love from all the Atlanta Housewives. But, as Kandi Burruss and Cynthia Bailey shared on The Real Housewives of Atlanta Season 11 After Show, they were surprised to find out in a recent episode that Gregg still had cancerous cells after his surgery. And, they learned that even though he was advised to get chemotherapy, Gregg decided against it.
