The news couldn't come at a better time. NeNe's been glum over her career stalling in recent months--an unhappiness she's dished about on this season of RHOA. After the cancellation of The New Normal, NeNe suffered another career setback when Corey Monteith tragically passed away earlier in July, throwing the future of Glee into doubt.
But in October, series creator Ryan Murphy revealed that he had rethought the show's last act—and Coach Roz is included. "I have a good idea," Murphy said in October of the final story arc. "We can end the show that I think is very satisfactory. And kind of in [Corey's] honor, which I love."
Over the summer, NeNe's been hard at work getting into her role. "Up late reading my Glee script," she tweeted. "Coach Roz is a beast! I love her!"
