Gigi Hadid Reveals Her Body Image Philosophy
Yolanda Foster's model daughter opens up about being a fit model.
Gigi Hadid is not only one of the most in-demand models these days, but she's also one of the most outspoken.
The daughter of the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star Yolanda Foster recently shared that she has no plans to change her appearance for anyone anytime soon, which is something she's been clear about in her career from day one.
"I've kinda had an easy time with the whole body image thing, just because from the second I walked into [modeling agency] IMG, I was like, 'This is what I wanna do with my career, but the one thing is that I'm not gonna lose a certain amount of weight. I'm not gonna be extremely skinny.' I just don't want to do that," she tells E! News.
Gigi, who is an avid boxer, revealed that she's content with the way she looks. "I've always been an athlete," she says. "I've always had a certain body type that I've always been happy with and I didn't wanna let that go for a career."
The 19-year-old also dished about the competition that sometimes takes place between young models. Thankfully, it's something she's been able to avoid.
"I was always kinda told that when I was becoming a model, don't live with a model because you get competitive," she said. "But I don't really find that I get competitive with my friends, especially with someone like Kendall [Jenner]… we look nothing alike. So someone that's gonna want a Kendall is not gonna want a Gigi."
