Former POTUS Barack Obama and former FLOTUS Michelle Obama have decided on the home they will make their permanent place of residence in Washington D.C. And the couple are already quite familiar with the abode. No, we don't mean the White House. The Obamas have decided to purchase the D.C. rental they have been living in since they left the White House, according to PEOPLE.

The former First Family will remain in the capital while their 15-year-old daughter Sasha finishes up high school at Sidwell Friends. "Given that President and Mrs. Obama will be in Washington for at least another two and a half years, it made sense for them to buy a home rather than continuing to rent property," spokesperson Kevin Lewis said in a statement. The couple reportedly paid $8.1 million for the 8,200-square-foot home, which includes 8 bedrooms and 9.5 baths.

By the way, their neighbors include Ivanka Trump and Jared Kushner, who live in the same neighborhood only a few blocks away.
