R.I.P. Paris Hilton's Tinkerbell
Well this is pretty sad. Paris Hilton revealed the news that her 14-year-old dog, Tinkerbell, died. She shared the news on Instagram along with a heartfelt message for the pooch, who pretty much kicked off the trend of celebs carrying toy-sized pets in the early part of the century. "I can't believe she's gone. I will miss her & think about her for the rest of my life," the heiress wrote. "I love you Tinky, you are a Legend & will never be forgotten."
Amy Schumer's Pals Are Still Pretty Hot
Amy Schumer is making headlines for more than just pranking Kimye. She's also taking on ageism in Hollywood -- and she's enlisted some funny lady firepower to help her do it. In the skit "Last F---able Day," she sits down with Tina Fey, Julia Louis Dreyfus and Patricia Arquette to poke some fun at the way celebrity women are viewed as they age. In the skit, the women have all gathered to celebrate Julia's last day of being hot (aka "f---able"). From there they pretty much shatter the glass ceiling with their tongue-in-cheek conversation about the misogny of Hollywood. This is one feminist message we can laugh at.
Robert Downey Jr. Shuts Down an Interview
Ironman himself is out on the road promoting Avengers: Age of Ultron and in one interview, RDJ was thrown a few questions that had nothing to do with the flick and everything to do with his past in jail and using drugs. It came up halfway through the interview and Robert tried to maintain his gentlemanly demeanor during the conversation as much as possible, but the interviewer didn't let up and kept his line of questioning going even when the actor seemed perturbed. The lesson to learn here is? Leave the past in the past, especially on an Avengers press tour.
Lindsay Lohan Doesn't Know Arabic
Well, that seems obvious, but she probably thought she was sharing some really inspirational message when she posted some Arabic words to her Instagram account. Unfortunately for the actress, something got lost in translation and the words she shared apparently don't mean "You're beautiful" as she had captioned the now-removed Instagram, but instead "You are a donkey." Well that's not really the same thing now is it?
Vogue Profiles Transgendered Model
For the first time in its history, Vogue (aka the fashion world's bible) is profiling a transgendered model, Andreja Pejic, in its pages. The 23-year-old sat down with the magazine for an in-depth interview, as well as a stunning photo, where she opens up about the changing tide in the fashion industry. "There are just more categories now," she said. "It's good. We're finally figuring out that gender and sexuality are more complicated."
Chorus Dancer Sees Footage of Herself For the First Time
File this under heartwarming. A 102-year-old former chorus line dancer, Alice Barker, finally got to see footage of herself from during her career thanks to modern technology. The vintage footage was presented to her and, admittedly, it's pretty cool to see her watch it and recall dancing in legendary nightclubs including The Apollo, Cotton Club, and Zanzibar Club. "Making me wish that I could get out of this bed and do it all over again," she said after watching the footage. Awww!
