First came her engagement how-to, Become Your Own Matchmaker: 8 Easy Steps for Attracting Your Perfect Mate, and now Patti Stanger's writing about love on a whole new level.
"The book's been selling well for the last two and a half years and now I'm writing a screenplay for it," the Millionaire Matchmaker tells RealityTVMagazine. "We're turning it into a romantic-comedy... The central character is a matchmaker just like me and then she's like the cobbler without any shoes and her boyfriend of five years doesn't propose to her so what does she do? She uses the eight steps to find a different guy."
So, the burning question remains: Who would Patti choose to play herself in the flick? Not surprisingly, her gut reaction is the queen of all rom-coms. "Well, I would love a Kate Hudson – I'm actually friendly with her but she's pregnant right now and she's going to be starting a second family, so I think more like Anne Hathaway type characters. There's tons of great actresses and I'm a real fan of Lake Bell so I would love for Lake Bell to do this movie. I think she's the most underrated comedic actresses and we're just not giving her enough time."
