It may have seemed like everyone was at least slightly freaked out by Miley Cyrus' controversial performance at MTV's Video Music Awards last month. But one person very close to the proceedings still can't figure out why people aren't getting over it: actress Paula Patton, who's married to Miley's VMAs collaborator Robin Thicke.
On last night's Watch What Happens Live Patton broke it down when asked how long it took to wash Cyrus' "funk" off her husband's VMAs outfit.
"First of all, his outfit was fly," Patton says before launching into her analysis of the big night, where Miley twerked all over her husband. "I wasn't surprised at all. Honestly, they rehearsed for three days beforehand," she explains, adding that she wasn't bothered when Miley danced her booty up into Thicke's crotch: "All my friends do it like that."
And based on the nature of the songs the two performed (Thicke's "Blurred Lines" and Cyrus' "We Can't Stop"), Patton doesn't get why audiences were shocked at all.
"I didn't know what the big deal was. I don't know if they thought Miley was going to sit down and play piano like Alicia Keys? The song is about taking molly. I don't understand. I didn't get the big deal."
Watch Paula Patton reveal what she thought of Robin Thicke's buzzworthy performance with Miley Cyrus at the VMAs and tell us in the comments: did you think Miley was out of control?
