Phaedra Parks: I'll Never Be Kenya's BFF
The RHOA star says she can only be "cordial" with the woman who was texting her husband.
The Real Housewives of Atlanta's Phaedra Parks and Kenya Moore are not seeing eye to eye lately. Why? According to Phaedra (and the rest of the ladies, come to think of it) Kenya broke the G-Code by texting Phaedra's husband, Apollo, and attempting to pull a "Monica Lewinsky."
On Sunday's episode, NeNe Leakes got the ladies together and Kenya offered an apology of sorts. "I don't want to secretly sleep with your husband," she said point blank to Phaedra. "So we might have our issues and that other stuff, but you don't have to worry about this over here with your man," she said, indicating herself.
But was that enough for Phaedra? In true Southern belle form, the mom of two tells E! that she hopes to now be "cordial" with Kenya, but that she doubts it will go further than that. "I'm mature enough to be in a room with anyone. And at the end of the day, because of the show, we will obviously have to be around each other, so I would like things to be cordial," she says. "Now, I'm not saying we're going to be best friends. I don't see that happening. Ever."
Phaedra goes on to say that both she and Apollo were astonished at Kenya's audacity in texting him. "It was frightening to him. Frankly, it was shocking to both of us that she would even make such a proposition," she says.
One thing she doesn't know is what Kenya hoped to get out of coming on to her husband. "I have no idea because I'm not a psychiatrist, unfortunately," she says. "All of us have our own morals and ethics and codes of conduct. And hers is just a little different than mine. Make that very different from mine."
NeNe seemed to think that this week's talk made things a little better. But only time (and the rest of the season) will tell if that's really true.
Watch the apology below and then let us know in the comments: do you think it was enough for Phaedra to get over it?
