Ramona Singer has blossomed into a brand-new woman over the past few seasons of The Real Housewives of New York City. Now the pièce de résistance of that transformation is the RHONY mom's newly-renovated Upper East Side apartment.
Ramona recently gave a peek of her pad to DailyMail.com, showing off her new light, airy, and open abode, which she oversaw the renovation of herself, along with her contractor, Mario, of course. She turned the warm, traditional, pre-war vibe of the space into a sleek, modern, and minimalist crib decked out in chic whites and grays with orange accents.
Ramona achieved the look with a Mitchell + Gold sofa in gray linen, as well as removing the wall in her kitchen. "It just creates this whole open feeling and it's very lofty and very downtown, and I don't want to leave the apartment," Ramona told DailyMail.com. "It just gives me so much pleasure to know that I did it myself and I did it in a couple of months."
The RHONY mom has added a sexy touch to the place as well. "I think the sexiest thing in my apartment, believe it or not, I get so many comments on the Marilyn, the Marilyn photograph that was done by this artist," Ramona said in the below video from DailyMail.com, showing a photographic mosaic of Marilyn Monroe. "He really captured her. She was sexy, sensual, light, and funny. I think I have that character in myself."
Though she initially planned on renovating and then selling her apartment, Ramona said it's now her "happy place," and she'll continue to call it home.
Ramona has enjoyed working on her apartment so much that she said she has advised a woman in her building on how to stage her apartment when she's ready to sell it, and she helped another woman prepare her property. She told DailyMail.com that she's even considering studying to get her real estate license this summer.
Of course, Ramona isn't the first RHONY lady to express a passion for property. Bethenny Frankel is also always on the hunt for her next real estate deal. She's even going to team up with Million Dollar Listing New York's Fredrik Eklund to scout, buy, and design multi-million dollar properties in their new series The Bethenny and Fredrik Project (working title).
Ramona will also be getting a new roommate this summer. And no, it won't be a gentleman caller. Her daughter, Avery Singer, plans on moving back to the apartment following a trip to Asia after her graduation from the University of Virginia later this month. This dynamic mother-daughter duo already plans on hosting dinner parties together every Monday night with a different set of 10 to 12 guests each time. "It's going to be a little interesting to navigate since I'm dating, she's dating," Ramona said. "We'll have to have some ground rules there."
