Ramona Singer Has a Run-In With a Warthog!
The RHONY star also shares exclusive pictures from her African safari.
But that's not the case, and recently when Ramona took a safari to Africa for her daughter Avery's graduation gift, she came face-to-face with a hog that was far less friendly than Pumba. She's fine, but we'll let her explain exactly what went down.
"So a lot of the camps, they have a lot of animals walking kinda through," Ramona tells the Dish. "Past sunset, you're not allowed out of your cabin, out of your residence, unless someone escorts you. But, it was during the day, and there are these animals called the warthogs. And they have tusks, they have four tusks, two underneath and two on top and they kind of grunt with the tusks. They're very sharp."
Ramona couldn't help but take this opportunity to commune with the animal on a deeper level...against her better judgement.
"In front of my residence, I was kinda talking to it, like, 'Oh, how you doing? What's going on?' And I got too close, and it came after me. It charged me. So I ran and screamed. Mario took a picture of me jumping in the air. And then the ranger told me I was crazy because they're very dangerous. They could jab you and really hurt you, badly. It was close. He was about to attack me. It scared the crap out of me!"
Even though warthogs look rather vicious, Ramona thought it's demeanor would be much gentler. "I had been walking by them for the past, like you know, 18 hours, and so I figured, I dunno," Ramona said.
Besides her close run in with the wildlife, the Singer brood spent two-weeks criss-crossing Africa, visiting schools, playing netball with local kids, and trying to make lasting memories before Avery heads off to college in August.
