RHONY 'Good Trip, Bad Fall' Blog Recap: London Brawling

The ladies go from croquet to combat in the UK, and now they're sounding off about it.

By Mike Hess

Ramona Singer and Heather Thomson

There's going to be some serious competition kicking off in London later this month when the Olympics get underway, and it seems there was already a vicious round of full-contact battle when the Real Housewives of New York City flew across the pond for a group trip while filming. Bickering, back-stabbing and sly attempts at sabotage are not medal-worthy events in the big games, but for RHONY, they're all skills that have been mastered like the backstroke or a perfect high dive.

While in London, newcomers Carole Radziwill and Heather Thomson both ruffled some feathers in their very own way, while LuAnn de Lesseps and others all found reason to be miffed. Below are some choice nuggets from the Wives' blogs this week, and we encourage you check each of them out for their own special goodness -- including an awesome Heathers reference from Carole.

Carole's Showdown With LuAnn: "I’m no Sharon Stone, still, I do know that a book is not a baby. I know that I did not push my novel through a birth canal and out my vagina. I know that publishing a work of fiction is not exactly the same as delivering a ten-pound human, epidural or not. I was using an analogy. An analogy so old that Plato used it when he "gave birth" to the theory of Platonic Love, and Plato has a penis ... The point is, maybe my EQ is a little lower than my IQ, but it was the last night of a long trip. My hair was precariously in place with its side part and powder. And I found LuAnn's conversation skills to be. . .grating. Read the Full Post Here

Heather's Also Got Lu Issues: "At dinner the one-upmanship continued with the princess now in the mix, and it escalated to comical levels! LOL! There was edge from Carole, but she owns her immaturity, and she was just having some fun poking at LuAnn, but LuAnn didn’t understand where it was coming from. So when Sonja and Carole went to the ladies room, I tried to have an aside with Lu. I wanted to clue her in about what she was doing to annoy the other ladies, and the effect it was having on them, but I didn’t do a very good job. I was being too indirect talking about the conversation in the car and the competitive nature of the women, and it went right over her head. So much for me as mediator! But all titles aside -- the Princess, the Countess, and M’Lady Morgan -- each of these ladies are fabulous in their own right, and I hope they’ll share the stage." Read the Full Post Here

LuAnn Strikes Back: "It was very unpleasant for me to see the women talk behind my back when I left the table, at our age. . .really? I was surprised by the girls' conversation although I wasn't shocked. I wish they had said these things to my face ... I didn't realize that Heather was talking to me about me because she wasn't being clear. I missed the entire conversation at the table. If someone has a problem with me they can just say it. . .I'm a big girl. At least Ramona says what she has to say to my face." Read the Full Post Here

Aviva's Above the Drama: "Here is the inside scoop on Reid's wedding band. The ring I ended up giving him was the ring we actually got married in. I love Reid's hands, and I never liked the way the ring looked on his very masculine hands. . .After all the ring conversations, I figured there was no downside to Reid wearing one especially now that he will be recognized wherever he goes! I have grown to like the look and symbol of the band. Is it necessary? No. Does it change the dynamic of our marriage? Absolutely not. Is Reid happy to wear it? YES!!!" Read the Full Post Here
