It's not easy being Richard Blais. Well, it's only difficult to be the Top Chef judge when he's anywhere in the vicinity of the show's lovely host, Padma Lakshmi.
The former Cheftestant-turned-judge is revealing the hardest part of sitting with his esteemed colleagues—and it has almost everything to do with Padma.
"You have sit next to Padma Lakshmi, who is beautiful, and I’m a nerd," he tells People. "So that always makes me a little uncomfortable."
Padma has yet to weigh in on Richard's rather sweet admission, but Richard did open up about some of his guilty food pleasures. Pizza toppings? He likes pineapple and ham, "which really makes me a disgusting person."
Perhaps his most shocking admission is how he manages to maintain his stylish coif. It's a mixture of liquid nitrogen and duck fat.
With everyone knee-deep in holiday season, Richard recently told the Daily Dish about another important topic: his dining playlist. "The key is mashing it up and presenting music throughout many genres and artists," he said. "Having a Phantogram song back into a Paul Simon track and followed by Mos Def song is a good general example."
