When Sonja Morgan unveiled her newest business venture, a line of prosecco and rosé wines named Tipsy Girl, on The Real Housewives of New York City, many were dying to know how Bethenny Frankel would react to the news, considering its similar-sounding name to her Skinnygirl empire and the rumors that tension was brewing between the two of them.
Of course, it was only going to be a matter of time before Bethenny revealed her true feelings to Sonja, and we quickly found that out during Wednesday night's episode of RHONY. Bethenny sat down with Sonja and let her have it, saying her business partners are shady, saying her company sounds like "a cheater brand," and calling out her many other businesses that don't seem to have come to fruition.
Sonja broke down in tears during the conversation, saying how she doesn't expect her company to reach the level of Bethenny's and that she's just trying to get back on her feet after filing for Chapter 11 bankruptcy (clip above). And no, those weren't crocodile tears. "It was real. I didn't want to hurt @Bethenny," Sonja tweeted about the sit-down during the episode. "I felt misunderstood & hurt myself #stupid."
However, Bethenny remained firm in her stance on Twitter during the episode and explained that she was trying to make Sonja see how much work you need to put in to run a successful business.
Bethenny hasn't harbored any ill will toward Sonja following their confrontation. "I have no anger towards Sonja, but I do have sympathy. I hope she can find her truth somewhere in the process," she wrote in her Bravotv.com blog this week. "Ideas and names are a dime a dozen. Execution, drive, dedication and passion push it through."
But it doesn't look like that'll be the last of the liquor drama between Bethenny and Sonja this season of RHONY. See what's about to go down next episode of RHONY, below.
