Bethenny Frankel Wants Those Freaking Out About Starbucks' Red Cups to Chill Out

#RHONY's Skinnygirl gets real about the coffee chain's latest controversy.

By Laura Rosenfeld

Starbucks' festive red cups have been a staple of the holiday season for years, but this year's simplistic two-toned ombré red design devoid of the usual holiday greetings and iconography has inspired criticism from the public and high-profile figures alike on social media. One person that has been particularly outspoken on the matter is The Real Housewives of New York City's very own Bethenny Frankel.

The Skinnygirl responded to Donald Trump's recent comments suggesting consumers should boycott Starbucks because of the absence of Christmas symbols on this year's red cup design. "Many people don't observe xmas, red is in the spirit & no greeting means no wasted cups," Bethenny tweeted on Tuesday.

The controversy has been causing a stir on social media, so it's no surprise that several other Bravolebs have also weighed in on the issue. And the consensus seems to be that #RedCupGate shouldn't really be an issue at all.

For some reason I feel like my neighborhood coffee shop may be "waging a war on Christmas"...
