Stefanie Fair: "Better Version of Me"

She's back! After sharing her fear of returning to the stage earlier this season on There Goes the Motherhood, Stefanie Fair marks her return to the music scene with the release of her empowering ballad, "Better Version of Me." The track, produced by her husband Ron Fair, reflects on the former Wild Orchid singer's struggles to find her singing voice, and the video shows Stefanie's dual sides as a singer/performer and mom to her four kids. In the end, the music video, directed by Patrick Tracy (Little Big Town, Kacey Musgraves, Halsey), is triumphant as it tracks Stefanie's return to pop music.

"Better Version of Me" was co-written with songwriter Steve Diamond (Britney Spears, Reba McEntire, Backstreet Boys), and Stefanie previously explained the strong message behind the tune. “Songwriting to me is almost like a therapy, if I would only take my own advice, but I wrote the song because every day I wake up and I really do try to be a better version of me,” she says. “I don’t have any expectations [on where my singing career will go], I’m really trying to not put that pressure I used to put on myself back in the day.”

You can check out a behind-the-scenes look at the making of the video, below.
