Summer House's Lauren Wirkus Explains Why She Would Reignite Her Romance with Carl Radke After Last Season

What happens in the Summer House apparently doesn't always stay in the Summer House. After things heated up and then cooled down between Lauren Wirkus and Carl Radke last season of Summer House, the pair decided to give a relationship another shot and dated in the fall and winter. 

Lauren and Carl ultimately decided to break things off again, but now that they're back together in the Summer House for Season 2, anything is possible. As the trailer for this season shows, it looks like sparks will fly between Lauren and Carl again — both romantically and explosively.  

Though Lauren recently told ET that she wasn't initially thrilled to be in a house with her ex, she explained why she reignited their romance after all of the ups and downs the two experienced last season. “It's very hard to be two feet away from someone that you've sort of had this emotional attachment, a relationship, with,” she said. “I'm not gonna lie: I'm a girl, like, I'm in a house. Obviously, we do have chemistry. Even when we're fighting, I'm like, 'Oh my gosh, what is going on with us?'”

Lauren also confirmed that "there was romance again" between her and Carl this season. “It's summer. I want to have a good time and I want to make the best of every situation, even if we're, like, fighting, I wanna make up and make it OK so we can move on and have a good time," she said. 

Carl previously teased his relationship status with Lauren when Bravotv.com caught up with him last November. "My relationship status with Lauren since Season 1, it's changed. It's a little complicated," he shared (clip above). "You know, we dated, had a lot of fun together. We're friends. Sometimes we're not friends."
