Surprise! Shahs of Sunset's Reza Farahan Is Engaged

He put a ring on it!

Reza Farahan and Adam Neely are engaged. The Shahs of Sunset star popped the question to his live-in boyfriend with a gorgeous Cartier ring, while surrounded by his Shahs pals.

"I finally met the love of my life," Reza tells the Dish, before revealing his decision to finally settle down: "My ass isn't getting any younger!"

Reza popped the question at his birthday dinner back in August and the momentous occasion will be featured on next week's episode (tune in at 9/8c). But he did give a few of his friends a heads-up about his intention beforehand. "I talked to Asa [Soltan] and MJ [Javid] about it, but I didn't want it getting back to Adam," he says. "I wanted him to really be surprised."

The same could be said about Reza's family, too. Though he proposed six months ago, he only informed his family of his engagement last week. How'd they react? "Not well," he says. "They adore Adam but they didn't appreciate the fact that I had kept such big news from them for so long."

Reza kept the engagement under wraps to avoid his family from voicing their opinions on the matter. "I didn't want to hear anything negative around such a joyous event," he says. "The first thing my mom asked was, 'It won't be on TV, will it?' And that's why I had waited."

Despite any drama with his family, Reza says he and Adam are happier than ever—and they just moved into a new condo together. "We're a family," he says. "A family of two, but a family nonetheless."

Now, he's excited to start the next chapter in his life: "I've lived my life with one foot in and the other out. This was the catalyst for me to shut the door on my whoreish ways for good!"
