Sweet Tweets! The Best of the Talk Bubble

Dessert Wars claims its first victim, Bubblers rejoice, emoticons fly.

Miss last night's live Top Chef Just Desserts Talk Bubble viewing party? Shame on you. Here's a taste of what you missed.

Move over BravoAndy bobblehead dolls, @BravoTV says this year "Quickfire Wines make great stocking stuffers!"

@Ro013 saw the brilliance when she said, "@Bravotv you all are cracking me up!!!! LOL. :D"

Thanks, @Ro013! But please try to limit yourself to one emoticon and no more than three exclamation points per tweet. Robust as it may be, the Bravo Talk Bubble system does have its limitations. :) :)

Just Desserts borrowed from the Top Chef playbook Wednesday night with the introduction of “Dessert Wars” and the Bravo Talk Bubble popped to life with excitement.

On the Left Coast, @Bravotv_west got the party started early with some inquisitive twittage: "Like Restaurant Wars? Then you're going to LOVE Dessert Wars! After all, they're way sweeter." And the award for Pun of the Year goes to.... not @Bravotv_west! Maybe next year, champ.

As the Elimination Challenge began, the show’s head judge @Johnny_Iuzzini, who was all up on the Talk Bubble during the East Coast airing, proclaimed, "30K is on the line for the first ever Dessert Wars," he tweeted. “Hot damn!"

Hot damn, indeed, 30K can buy a lot of hair gel.

The Bubble was divided on which team deserved to bring home the brioche. Would it be Team Diva or Team Whisk Me Away (who coincidentally beat out @Bravotv_west for Pun of the Year)?

A few Bubblers came out on the side of Team Diva's flamboyance, like @DillzMari who shouted "Go Team Diva!" and Twitterer @Navigationdive proclaimed to "Love Team Diva!" Tweet machine @thechiclife was just pleased with the team name it seemed when she said "I love that Top Chef: Just Desserts has a 'Team Diva' :)"

But the Bubble couldn't hide some of its anti-Diva sentiment, like when @PrfctLitlBites said "Team Diva needs to be taken down a notch tonight." Or, more subtlety, when @SqueeTV squeemed "Suck it, Team Diva!"

(Where do you stand? And who was Team Diva's ultimate prima donna? There's still time to vote in our poll.)

West Coaster @JacSutt was, as they say out there, "stoked" when the divas lost the elimination challenge. "Take that Team Diva!," he twittered. "WHISK ME AWAY, FTW!" That's "For the Win" for the uninitiated, and no need to scream, @JacSutt, the Talk Bubb heard you heard you loud and clear.

In the end, Team Diva's Heather packed her tools and was sent home. There were few tears in the Talk Bubble. In fact, most Bubblers had the opposite reaction. @hungrysmurf gleefully opined "Glad to see Heather go on Top Chef JD. Danielle sucks but Heather is so negative and annoying. Shut up Heather!" And here we thought smurfs were nice.

Of course, not everyone was too caught up in the competition. Bubbler @beverly_e watched, tweeted and treated herself whilst preparing for a whole weekend full of sweets: "Watching top chef just desserts and painting my nails: candy corn design!"

Before the bubble closed for business, @ttaraturk <http://twitter.com/ttaraturk>  wondered "Wait. What are they doing with the desserts left over? Send them over here!" To which the very charitable @bravotv replied, "A trash bag of donuts are on their way!" (Beware weekend trick-or-treaters: @BravoTV will accept no responsibility for death or deliciousness incurred from accepting trash bags full of donuts.)

Tune in next week for another piping-hot Talk Bubble when Top Chef: Just Desserts returns Wednesday at 10 p.m.!
