Tabatha Takes Over the Oscars

The biz whiz makes her predictions for Sunday's show.

By Lauren Metz

The countdown to the Oscars has officially begun for Tabatha Coffey, who's already locked in her picks, and apparently silence is golden.

"I thought it was amazing because The Artist brought silent movies to generations that might not be familiar with them. And actually got them, me included, to watch it," the Tabatha Takes Over star tells The New York Times about her pick for the night's big winner. "Though it had that old silent movie feel, it also felt fresh and modern. And that had to be a hard balance to strike between the two," she added about the film that she expects to see take home Best Picture, Original Score, and Film Editing, plus Best Actor in a Leading Role for Jean Dujardin.

"I'm definitely no expert, but [Jean Dujardin] did such an amazing job without even speaking. I think the actress category is going to be a really tough one as well," the Aussie native notes, giving the award to Oscar veteran Meryl Streep. "[She] is just such a bloody amazing actress and it's hard to find an actress who will make you forget who she truly is. But The Help was just such an amazing movie and the whole cast was really incredible. I would not be disappointed if Viola [Davis] won at all."
