Taylor Armstrong's Biking 100 Miles to End Domestic Violence

The ‘Wife's taking her healing "to the next level."

By Lauren Metz

Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star Taylor Armstrong is hitting the road, launching a 100-mile bike trip on November 11 in an effort to raise awareness about domestic violence.

"I spent last year healing emotionally. I want to now take that to the next level and get myself in shape physically," the RHOBH star explains to Wetpaint about recovering from her own violent relationship. "I'm 41 and it's time for me to really start taking care of myself."

Taylor – who also just became a spokesperson for National Victims of Domestic Violence – will share the experience through social media. "Once the ride is established, I'll start tweeting about it and letting people know the details and what kind of progress I'm making. It's been a long time since I've been on a bike!" Kennedy's mama admits.

But this won't be the only obstacle she's recently overcome. "You know, there have been some big milestones. Getting past the first year has been a big hurdle," adds the Oklahoma native, who grew up in a home with domestic violence. "I think it's all the more reason I need to be exercising and focusing on staying healthy and well. I'm a single mom now and I need to be in the best shape I can be. I owe that to my daughter."
