Teresa Giudice Shares First Tweet from Prison

"Thank you everyone for all of the cards, letters, and kind words of support," the #RHONJ star writes.

It’s been nearly five months since Teresa Giudice entered prison to begin serving a 15-month sentence and the Real Housewives of New Jersey star reached out personally to fans yesterday for the very first time.

How to Watch

Watch The Real Housewives of New Jersey Season 14 premiere May 5th at 8/9c on Bravo and stream next day on Peacock.

Turning to her Twitter account, Teresa expressed her gratitude for those who have supported her during this difficult time. “Thank you everyone for all of the cards, letters, and kind words of support,” she writes. “I love, love, love you all xo T!”

Fans, of course, were more than thrilled to hear from Tre and replied to the Tweet with words of encouragement and love.

Teresa’s attorney, James J. Leonard, has spoken to media several times since Teresa reported to the Danbury, Conn. facility to give updates on his client; most recently revealing how he thinks this experience will change her for the better. “I think she’s going to emerge stronger, more focused," he said. “She’s getting back in touch with her faith. She’s spending a lot of time praying in there and I think the Teresa that comes out of prison is going to wow people.”

Husband, Joe Giudice, opened up in April about how the family (including daughters Gia, Milania, Gabriella and Audriana) has been coping with Teresa away. “When you have four kids you have to stay strong," said Joe. "Her being away definitely makes me appreciate her more, a lot more, and, you know, everything she did."

Joe added that the family is in constant touch with Teresa: "They email her all the time...every day, so, they email more than me.”

Teresa will be released in early December and immediately will begin home confinement until she finishes out her sentence in February 2016.
