Porsha Williams' Feelings About Kandi Burruss Have Changed Because of This The Real Housewives of Atlanta Moment

Is The Real Housewives of Atlanta friendship really over?

If there was one friendship of which we weren't sure about the fate after last season of The Real Housewives of Atlanta, it would be that of Porsha Williams and Kandi Burruss. As you may recall, things frequently got heated between the Georgia Peaches throughout the season due to some rumors, and their drama finally came to a head at the Season 9 reunion.

But believe it or not, Porsha was actually ready to forgive and forget when it came to her drama with Kandi as this season of RHOA began. "I came into this season just wanting to move forward, of course. I had already apologized at the moment when everything was kind of revealed [at last season's reunion]. And then I came into this season wanting to make sure she really knew it again sincerely from me. So I just came with the spirit of let's move on," Porsha recently explained to The Daily Dish. "I didn't want to pressure her into anything. I'm from the South, so if I see you, I'm just going to hug you, and then also move back and give her space. That was my thing."

Unfortunately, Kandi didn't really seem to subscribe to the same attitude at the start of this season. There was lingering tension during the couple of encounters Kandi had with Porsha earlier this season. "And that's fine," Porsha told The Daily Dish. "I don't normally get cold hugs, but it's all right. It's OK."

But there was one thing Kandi did on RHOA this season that had Porsha wondering if their relationship was really more strained than she initially thought. "I thought that she just didn't want anything to do with me. I didn't realize that she had taken it to a place where she was actually angry enough to say such ugly things about me, and that's what I'm seeing on the show. I'm like, 'Whoa, OK, that's what's been going on?'" she said of Kandi poking fun at her battle with vasovagal syncope, a condition that can lead to fainting, at Shamea Morton's bridal shower earlier this season. "I'm normally just thinking she's just being quiet, but I didn't know that she was making fun of me and the illness with her friends. I was just like, 'Whoa, OK, I didn't even know I was a topic like that.'"

Vasovagal syncope is something that Porsha still struggles with today. "I almost passed out the other day at DISH Nation," Porsha said during the Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen After Show on Sunday. "It's a condition that has plagued me for a while now, so I take it very seriously, and that really did hurt me to see her and her friends act like that."

Porsha also told The Daily Dish that hearing Kandi's comments has changed her optimism about the future of their friendship. "I had hope, but when you do see someone making hateful comments about you and being cold-hearted and insensitive about an illness that has affected you, which is my illness, vasovagal syncope, things like that, basically trying to shame me ... for me, it was just completely shocking. It really was," she shared. "So it's not something that I'm gonna try to force anymore because do I see not only is the door closed, you're trying to wage a whole 'nother war. So I just don't want anything to do with it, really."
