The competition to find the next Top Chef officially kicked off this week with the launch of Padma's Picks. In our exclusive web series, Padma Lakshmi searches New Orleans to find a local chef to compete. Watch the full six-episode series here. We also unveiled this year's crop of Cheftestants, which range from a self-proclaimed "gnocchi Queen" to a Chinese immigrant-turned-master to a caterer who was hailed as one of the "sexiest chefs" in New York City.
