The 'WWHL' Hangover With Kristin Cavallari
Exclusive: Kristin tells us even more after her amazing 'Hills' shocker on WWHL.
By now you've hopefully seen Kristin Cavallari blow the collective minds of Hills fans around the world on Watch What Happens Live last night. There was so much goodness about how the show's storylines are fake, how they were all acting, etc., that we really needed to find out more. So, we connected with Kristin for a very Hills-centric version of The WWHL Hangover.
As you can gather from her WWHL interview with Andy Cohen last night, Kristin is game for a good candid chat and doesn't hold much back, so throw on some Natasha Bedingfield as a soundtrack ... and see what she had to say:
So are you all recovered from your debut on Watch What Happens Live last night?
Not really because I came home and it took me a while to fall asleep because I was so wound up from the show, and I had to be a mom early this morning. We got up at 7:30ish, but I was up from 5 on because he was in my arms and it was hard for me to sleep. But that's OK, I'll sleep when I get home tomorrow.
What did you think of the show?
I thought it was so much fun. I love how laid back and casual it is. I think Andy is absolutely hilarious and Taylor was great. I had such a good time.
What's something viewers might not know or get to see?
I think it's funny that Andy is always on, it's really funny. I though that was really cool, even during commercial breaks he keeps it going.
Were you scared knowing that there were going to be tough questions coming from Andy and live ones from viewers?
No, it's not scary for me. I think that's really cool. I'm curious what the fans want to know, too. Andy doesn't hold back, so it's not like I went in thinking it was going to be a piece of cake. I knew I was going to get asked questions that I'd probably end up regretting my answers to, so I think Andy is just as scary as the fans asking questions.
So, The Hills. Everyone's talking about how you said it was fake. Are you surprised about the reaction?
No, I don't regret it. I think it's funny -- it seems people think they want to know if it's real or fake, but when they find out it's fake, they don't want to know that. I guess I'm surprised [they don't know], but it makes sense. If I wasn't in the entertainment business, I'd probably believe everything I saw on TV too.
You mentioned your relationship with Justin was bogus. What about Audrina's relationship (Full disclosure: We're obsessed with him).
No, he and Audrina really dated. My stuff was all fake, but some of the stuff before I came on the show was real. When I joined I was like 'Listen, whatever you guys want me to do, I'm game.' I knew what I was getting into, I knew what character they wanted me to be. Instead of them manipulating me in a sense, I was just like 'I'm game.' Producers came up with everything else.
Who would you want to grill in your own version of Plead the Fifth?
Oh, that's a good question. Hmmm. I guess an ex-boyfriend.
Any ex in particular?
We'll just leave it vague. [laughs]
