Was 'Queen of Jordan' 'Housewives' Material?

Comparing our reality to Tina Fey's hysterical sitcom-meets-reality.

By Mike Hess

On Thursday night, 30 Rock once again transformed into a reality show of sorts, as the second "episode" of the faux-reality show Queen of Jordan took over Tina Fey's Emmy-winning sitcom. Oh, don't you worry, there were Housewives (of all locales) references aplenty.

As Tracy Jordan's wife Angie -- played by the amazing Sherri Shepherd --) gets ready to unveil her fashion line Cheek (pronounced "chic" ... because it's French), all sorts of Housewives-esque drama unfurls. Diva kids, a character-based wine, relationships put to the test under the blaring lights of reality camera crews: It was satire to the tenth degree, but was it better than the original? We'll let you be the judge of that.

First and foremost, you'll want to watch the full 30 Rock episode. Do that here. Great! Now, take a trip back through Housewives nostalgia that inspired the scenes:

Wine: Though it might not be as awesomely named as D'Fwine, Ramona's been in the fermented grape business for years. And it's quite delicious ... we've heard:

Ramona makes wine!

Restaurant Parties: Jack's opening of "Rus" simply to cover up a lie was awkward, but not as awkward as when Cedric crashed a party at restaurateur Lisa Vanderpump's soiree.

It's Cedric!

Outrageous Kids: Really, there's no use even discussing this one.

The Top 10 Milania Moments

Tantrums That Lead to Things Being Thrown: Both Liz and Angie got their furniture flipping on in the episode, but you really just can't touch Teresa's original -- and we're even giving Tamra an honorable mention for the drink throwing that also played a part in Rock.

Prostitution Whore!

An Epic Fight
