What Left Lisa Rinna Crying in a Bathtub?

The actress recalls an emotional period from her pre-Housewives days.

By Jordan Upmalis

If you think working on a soap opera is easy, think again. Lisa Rinna shot to stardom on Days of Our Lives, and although the role had its perks, it also was incredibly overwhelming. “When I started, you’d have 20 to 40 pages of dialogue to memorize every single day,” she revealed on Oprah: Where Are They Now? “I would come home and I would get in the bath tub and cry, I would have a really good cry."

How to Watch

"Soap work is really fast and furious,” she continued. “It’s really hard. It was sink or swim. [It’s] some of the hardest work you’ll ever have to do.” Despite the long hours and emotional involvement, the actress admits how grateful she is to have had the opportunity and how much it helped her future endeavors. “It prepared me for anything else,” she said. Even the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills?
