Where Are They Now: RHONJ's Kim D.
The Posche boutique owner is still making cuffs and supporting Teresa.
Whenever one of our Real Housewives leaves a franchise, she rarely goes alone: The members of her entourage, who viewers have grown to know and love, also exited. Each week, we'll be looking into the lives of one of these familiar faces. Today, it's The Real Housewives of New Jersey guest star Kim DePaola.
With all the maneuvering that Kim D. infused into RHONJ's first five seasons, no one would be surprised if the "D" actually stood for "Drama."
She's supported Teresa Giudice through more than one feud, fanned the flames of gossip, rumor and innuendo for years and, as Kim herself admitted to New Jersey's Star-Ledger this spring, "No one can bring drama like a Posche fashion show."
A year after Kim's exit, she still owns her designer clothing boutique, Posche, and, of course, has her Cuffs by Kim D jewelry line (those cuffs now come in leather, blinged-out couture and "everyday wear" styles).
Kim says customers from around the world visit Posche and ask her for advice on everything from where to get Botox to which hair salon to visit and what skincare line to use—and she loves telling them. "I have a lot of experience in friendships and life," she explained to the Asbury Park Press.
Kim's long friendship with Teresa has endured since she exited the show. After Teresa and husband Joe were sentenced to prison for fraud earlier this month, Kim jumped to the family's defense. "Joe's strong, Teresa's stronger. Women are always stronger," Kim told The Derek Z Show, adding, "I think she's going to be more successful when she gets out."
Up next for Kim: She recently told New Jersey's Star-Ledger that she's shopping around a book proposal—the newspaper describes it as something "based on a true story (not hers)"—in hopes of securing a TV adaptation.
