Does one of the singers on this season of The Voice look familiar? Well, that's because before Blessing Offor was competing on The Voice, the singer aimed for super stardom on Bravo's Platinum Hit.

The Brooklyn-based singer, 25, might be riding high on Pharrell William's team during season seven on the NBC singing competition show, but in 2011 he appeared on Bravo's own series. During his time on the show, he competed in front of record industry superstars including Kara DioGuardi, Jewel and Real Housewives of Atlanta star Kandi Burruss.

Blessing comes with an interesting back story. He moved to the U.S. from Nigeria when he was six to receive medical treatment for his vision loss. While he has already been blind in his left eye, he lost sight in his right eye as well due to complications. He turned his energy to creating music.

He first caught Voice mentor Pharrell's attention when he performed "Just the Two of Us" during the blind audition back in September.

"I'm a songwriter and I spent a lot of time in Nashville and I really appreciate Nashville songwriting," he shared in a behind-the-scenes Voice interview. "I kind of want to do the Lionel Richie model which is great country songs sung with a lot of soul."

Now that the blind auditions have wrapped up, fans will get the chance to hear more from Blessing, who finished in 11th place during his tenure on Platinum Hit. He noted upon leaving that "I would definitely say I'm leaving before my time... My dreams haven't been crushed at all. There's different ways to look at things."

"I know I can write hits," he added, noting that in the next decade he knew super stardom was on the horizon.

He's already got some major love in his corner now that he's on The Voice.

"I hate that Blessing went home," Kandi wrote back in 2011 after he was eliminated. "I would have loved to see more from him because vocally he's hot, and I just don't think dance music was his strength. Unfortunately for him it was an early category in the competition. I wish you luck and blessings Blessing! I guess that was corny for me to say that but I really do wish you the best!"
