Why Did Jax Taylor Cheat on Stassi Schroeder?
The #PumpRules exes get candid about their past in an upcoming episode of Stassi's podcast.
The saga of Jax Taylor and Stassi Schroeder is one of the most fabled in Vanderpump Rules history. Jax and Stassi were once the couple that every SURver wanted to emulate when the show first started, but we all know what happened next. Revelations about Jax's affair with a woman in Las Vegas and then hook-ups with Stassi's bestie Kristen Doute not only tore this couple a part but also made it seem like they could never even be in the same room with one another again.
So you can understand why Stassi would deem sitting down with Jax in an upcoming installment of her podcast Straight Up with Stassi "a monumental moment." "I'm not sure if I'm proud or mortified about my next guest," Stassi says in an exclusive sneak peek of the episode available to listen to next week. "I don't know whether I'm selling my soul or whether I'm standing up for women everywhere by making this happen."
Relationships will be on the agenda for Stassi and Jax during the episode, specifically their former relationship. And Stassi doesn't waste any time in asking Jax what made him think cheating on her was the right decision. "I'm a bad example, but it just became easy, it was like instinct. And that's really sad and that's really disturbing that it almost became like I knew I was gonna do it. Like, it was just an OK thing," he explains. "Most people would be like, 'OK, I'm doing this. I'm doing this.' I didn't think about it. I just did it, and I didn't care."
Jax even agrees with Stassi that at the time, he was probably someone who didn't care about other people's feelings. "So that would make you somewhat of a sociopath, not a full one, and I'm not saying a full-blown one," Stassi retorted.
