Kelly Dodd started Season 13 of The Real Housewives of Orange County single, having divorced her husband Michael Dodd following Season 12. But she's not the only newly single OC 'Wife: Shannon Beador also filed for divorce from husband David Beador after Season 12. Kelly and Shannon, who have definitely had their ups and downs, bonded over their shared experience of getting divorced after many years. However, that may be where their similarities end.
"[Shannon] likes to have relationships with guys or maybe needs that validation and I don't," Kelly explained on The Daily Dish podcast. "So she spends a lot of time with one of her guy friends. And I would like to go out with her more but I think she's kind of more of a relationship person. And she likes that I kind of want to just be single and come and go when I want to. And I don't have to answer to anybody where she likes somebody there."
Speaking of "one of [Shannon's] guy friends," Kelly said she knows this individual well, adding that he is her best friend's ex-husband.
"That's why I don't date in Orange County," Kelly explained. "It's like freakin' sloppy seconds all over the place. It's disgusting. It's like everyone does each other over there; it's gross. So that's why I don't ever date in Orange County ever."
Stay tuned for the rest of the season to see how these single ladies navigate the SoCal dating scene on The Real Housewives of Orange County every Monday at 9/8c.
