Winona Ryder was the talk of last year's Screen Actors Guild Awards after she made some strange facial expressions while on stage with the cast of Stranger Things. Her behavior came across as weird, leading many to speculate on what happened.

Her Stranger Things co-star Joe Keery has finally put this story to bed with the most innocuous and totally believable explanation for it, after being asked about it by a caller during the Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen After Show.

"It was so hard to hear on stage; they don't mic it — they don't have amps in front of the stage," he explained.

So to him and Winona and probably everyone else on stage, it just looked like their co-star David Harbour was almost miming his acceptance speech and they could only hear stray words here and there.

"I think she just heard a couple of the words and she was just as confused as all of us," he said. "Yeah, I don't know. She couldn't hear at all."

Truth is often stranger than fiction, but in this case, it's slightly more boring.
