Good Riddance

Iman doesn't have the patience for drama or whiners this week.

Nov 15, 2010

How do you think the two houses handled the out-of-the-box challenge they were presented with this week?
I think they were taken completely by surprise! They had to learn how to navigate the unpredictable terrain of fashion...it is a game changer. This is not only a brand- new Fashion Show, but, a brand new show on fashion.

What did you think of Mike’s decision to abstain from the challenge?
If you can't take the heat get out of fashion! I thought he was too cocky and couldn't take the challenging pace of competition TV. And his reference of where I came from to the "modern" world on Episode 1 was insulting at the very least. I am with Cesar on this one. . .good riddance!

What about Eduardo’s dress set it above the other pieces from House of Nami?
The attention to detail, the classic silhouette, and that beautiful collar... DIVINE! He is an accomplished designer.

What other pieces were you really taken with this challenge?
Strangely enough I liked both Jeffrey's and Calvin's designs. So the House of Emerald wasn't a complete waste, like they were on Episode 1.

What disappointed you the most from the House of Emerald's collection?
The House of Emerald was in total chaos on Episode 1, and they still lack finesse and clarity of vision. But I think they benefited from having Jeffrey as a leader on Episode 2. God, imagine what could have happened under Calvin's rule as a leader...the horror, the horror!

Were you surprised by Calvin’s strong showing this week after his fashion emergency last week? Are you frustrated that his attitude is clouding his talent?
Yes, because I thought I was going to get rid of him once and for all, but his talent saved his behind! Talent trumps drama anytime in my book...or maybe not if the drama is Calvanized. We'll see. He better change his ways. I don't have the patience for taking on the laborious task of understanding a Calvin narcissist, bitchfest, and it is definitely clouding his talent.

What advice would you give the House of Emerald to help them now, with Calvin onboard?
Now that Calvin, the destroyer, is out of the way maybe they will get their act together, and it might become "The House That Cesar Built." He is a good leader, and I think he will get them focused.

What did you think of Cesar’s move of self-sacrifice to jump to the other team?
Admirable! He is a gentleman, but strictly entre nous. Beware this might become the house that destroyed Cesar.

Iman, The red draped neck dress you wore during this episode (Nov. 16th Body Language) was stunning. Please tell us where you got it from. It is simply amazing!!!

You're just amazing!! A wonderful addition to the show. I'm so hooked.

Imank, you are a goddess! You are beautiful and intelligent! I live for your on-point remarks regarding the fashions the designers make! I absolutely agree with everything you said regarding Mike. I was insulted for you when he made that ignorant remark regarding the modern world! You make the show worth watching and yes, I do follow you on Twitter!

I think you are simply divine. You blunt comments are a refreshing change. So glad you've been added to this otherwise dismal program. You've raised the bar of the designtestants considerably. Calvin's attitude is pure camp. He's a hoot and it will be tons of fun seeing him get his eventual elimination. That said, how did removing him from the loser set and placing him on the more successful team punish him? That decision punished the winners more...

Iman I love you and the show. Thanks for bringing your beauty, class, style and frankness to the show. I'm a big fan!

Hello Iman,

If you are reading I can simply that you are amaaaaaaziinnnggg !!! Don't be so hard on those designers.... You can be blunt tastefully !!!

Iman! you are vicious and I love it...you and Stefan, that handsome fashion show guy, are my favorite parts of the show. Calvin is drama and Cesar is sweat. Is jeffrey talented because it seems so on this episode, glad he has Cesar on his team now. they should go far together if those business partner girls dont get in the way. tamara is hanging by a thread. Love you and continue keeping it real for us...loved those two fashion shows, btw

I love the show......It's great! Keep up the good work and continue not to bite your tongue. Tell it like it is!

Hello Iman! I wanted to say that I love your bluntness on the show as well as many others. :) I also loved Calvin's design on this last episode (the Body Language one), but his attitude is so.. angering. I wish he would bite his tongue and continue to make wonderful clothing!

Iman, It is a real pleasure to watch this season with you as the host. I saw you on Project Runway Canada and enjoyed every episode and feel The Fashion Show can only benefit from your unique perspective and experience. I especially like your 'tell it like it is'.

Iman, I enjoy the show but I don't enjoy your criticism and harshness to the contestants. Were you treated like that when you were in your modeling prime and now it's payback? I hope not because the contestants are not responsible for how you were treated. Lighten up and be nice...I stopped watching the show because of your insults.

We love Iman...we just do.

Hmmmm.... I was fan back in the day, now I'm finding some difficulty. Iman seems a bit sad, unhappy, and well, mean. I realize it's show, and critiquing is part of the concept. I just believe it's possible to share a point of view without ripping people to sheds.

Iman your comments are right to the point, this is refreshing! I so enjoy your wit and charm of your delivery. Every comment was well deserved by the designers and much more, many of the designers got off lite. Calvin almost destoryed his group along with the latest designer (Tamara) that was just removed. Good move! I do not know if THOE will be able to recover from the huge setback. This part did not seem fair for those that were caught in the "Calvin mess". The cream always rise to the top. Iman I love your personality, I totality disagree with the "above" viewer. This is the "best" fashion show! Be true to yourself, just as you are.

You are tasteful and with the most refreshing enjoyable wit.
