Lidia
James-Paul talks about his collaboration with his eliminated partner.
June 18, 2009Lidia is a very talented person. Throughout the competition she had displayed a consistent work ethic of her own. Lidia likes working with drape and takes sincere dedication. I wanted Lidia to translate what I see from the mood board of Isaac and collaboration. It was the best way to work at the time so that our ways of working could merge together with her translation. The elimination round was very intense. This was my first time on the bottom and I did not know what to expect. All designers are talented and it was hard to judge what was produced. I was happy with what I have made and as well for Lidia’s. As my work was being critiqued it started to become a learning experience with such insight and in the end was something I needed to hear; it was an outsider asking to let the world see my work, outside the laboratory and people using it in daily lines. I learned so much, and having to see Lidia go was hard because I didn't contribute enough to make her stay, and it’s something I didn’t want to feel because it’s such a horrible thing for me not to stay.
James-Paul you are so cool, and I hope you win! I will so vote for you!

JP you are the coolest designer in the fashion show! I think you are truly talented and the most creative designer among them.............not to mention the friendliest one, too! Keep it up!!! The thing I love about you is you never speak behind anybody's back and you are a true friend. I hope you are hoing to be the winner!!
Awww!! James-Paul!1 Yeah I know..I was soo scared 4 u..even though after I herd Isaac say u were a genius I was like awww ok I think my JP is safe!! But..I'm sorry for her...but I'm soo soo soo glad it wasn't u!!! I loved ur fish Idea too!!

Congratulations on making it through. It was kind of sad that Lidia had to go home but at least it wasn't you! ^_^ I think that you are a great designer and have such a wonderful imagination. Keep up the good work James-Paul!
I didn't see a fish inspiration in your balloon cape. Teamed with a desert-inspired dress with Lidia, it was odd. Your perspective is always very obscure. But you know what? I think you should be an abstract painter instead of a fashion designer. You're one of those few inscrutable people who go to that side of art. Buy a big canvas and some paint and let your imagination go ...
Refreshing not to hear you track-talk Lidia. The both of you are very talented, and it is unfortunate that her dress did not live up to her usual standards this week. (I thought you should have won the "clique" challenge and she should have won with her raincoat.)
