- Project Runway's Kenley Collins gives the rundown of the best and worst of Fashion Show this week.
Haven and Anna’s design was good. I thought their lines were somewhat interesting and clean and the pop color top really was a nice surprise when she pulled off the large black coat.
Daniella and Reco had a really hard time collaborating. The design turned out very thrifty. I felt like I was in one of those really bad thrift stores, where you can’t find the good vintage but you’ve dug all day, so you settle for the weird granny look but I don’t know if I would even give it that, because it’s borderline Talbots, which you just don’t even want to go there.
James Paul and Lidia’s design was really bad. I’m not sure if they stopped once and considered that they were designing an outfit together. But clearly, the nightmare was in Lidia’s dress. The placement of that large scale of shine made the model look huge and like she had a big belly. And what was with it going right across the largest part of the butt? I mean, are you trying to make her look huge?! It couldn’t be any more unflattering for women of any size and shape.

Kenley---
Hmmm, as for you Lynda S. sounds like we have an unhappy camper with anger issues.
Kenley I think you are very talented and will go very far in life. Surround yourself with those who love you, but support you with honest fair critiques, when asked. Sometimes we don’t always want the people we love to give their opinion; just their unconditional love and support and we all need that. You rock , your sense of style and design will take you to the moon, you have what it takes don't let nay-sayers bother you. They are just projecting their own negative baggage onto you as they can’t afford a therapist.

Kenley, I enjoyed reading your comments. I didn't think Reco should have been eliminated so that viewers could not vote on him, since he was part of the final four.
Also, Kenley, I personally thought you had the best design on Project Runway for the season where you participated. I was so sorry that the judges felt a couple of your looks were "derivative." I really liked your hand painted prints for the final competition.
I hope you go on to become a very famous fashion designer. You are creative and talented. Artists do tend to be temperamental, in my experience, but I didn't appreciate the way some of the others "ganged up" against you. You seem courageous and offer compelling design.

I agree with you! The design by Johnny and Merlin was a clear winner, so I had no idea why the judges chose Anna/Haven's design. I have noticed that the judges tended to like gloomy and/or unsophisticated designs, most of which came from Daniella. You can see that when going over viewer ratings on this site, the so-called "winning" look from the Daniella gang always received poor receptions and I doubt anyone would want to buy those looks. I am really disappointed by this new show... I want Project Runway back!!!

Kenley,
I have not only loved your personal style, but also your designs since the beginning of project runway. I definitely aspire to your sense of style, confidence, and creativity.
I really enjoy reading your blog and am excited to notice that many of your opinions resemble my own. I also agree with whoever said that you should be one of the judges on the show! You'd be incredible! :]

I loved your clever comment about the bad thrift store and the vintage granny look. That is exactly what I was thinking when I saw the pants. I thought it looked like a Butterick pattern from 1985.
I'm sad that Lydia's dress failed. She was very talented and I would have like to see more.

Lynda S. who are you? Stick to the program and stop with petty personal attacks; it's not very attractive.
I agree with you Kenley; I feel that Merlin and Johnny should have won the competition. I did not care too much for Haven's shorts; I personally would never wear a pair of short, regardless the name you decide to give them.

Kenley, I liked your fashions on PR. I really liked your 50's style in the dresses you designed and I LOVED the wedding dress you made. I did not really like the attitude you had sometimes but you can change that.
Good Luck to you.

Kenley; Why the heck your not one of the judges on that show is a mystery to me when you can articulate and critique fashion the way you do? Keep up the good work and looking forward to see some of your dresses in the future.

Hey....have to say that I am surprised to see this blog here.
I think Kenley is talented...but she's also a poor sport, immature and obnoxious when not getting her own way. One of the biggest whiny crybabies on tv.
How bout posting a blog from a former winner instead of loser?

Whatever Lynda, at least Kenley has pure talent to have been chosen for the show and, quite frankly, she was the most talented of the bunch. What is your talent?

Lynda's comment sucks. There will always be detractors, but so what? There are more people who appreciate you.
Moving on, I look forward to your blog. Don't you think that there is heavy black on the winners? The online store is all black with a tiny bit of color. Even for the Isaac challenge, who is all about vibrant color, the judges voted black. This is a strange fashion show.

Wow I was reading your Blog, which I thought was right on. Then I read the comment before that, now that is what I call mean.

Hmmm, Kenley;
It's sad to read critiques from "The Most Obnoxious Designtestant" in the history of Project Runway...
Your criticism is ironic. The losing dress from Lidia reminded me of the absolutely awful and laughable fish scale dress you made toward the end of your season on PR. You really didn't belong in the final four.Since your designs were either ridiulous or repetitive, why are you commenting? Don't you have a professional designer to plagiarize (i.e. Alexander McQueen)?
