When asked if I have any hidden talents, I should have replied that I excel at disappearing. I deftly sidestep attempts to crack my surface, usually without being noticed. I am like a curl of smoke on a drift of air — beautiful and transient: lingering for a moment and the next gone. I don’t want to crumble like a dry curled leaf. Being blown about long past the exit of fall and then in tiny pieces. Frank Ottara said in this poem "Nocturne”, “I go east and west but the avenues run north and south. I’m built the wrong way for the river and a mild gust of wind would break every fiber in me.”
Our little band of outsiders went to total meltdown, sadly. I became quiet around too many loud people and it added to a complete lack of communication. I worried that they didn’t want to involve me. They feared that I wouldn’t listen to them and then they never spoke up! Too badmy friends. Ciao for now.
Laura Dawson fashion don'ts definitely include tabloidesque petty spats. Laura Dawson fashion dos are that I make innovative, sculptural clothing for beautiful women. In my world all women are stunning. If I create a dress that makes a woman feel wonderful, I’ve made the world a better place. I make all my clothing as organic as possible and with as little environmental impact as possible, because that’s the clothing that my fans wanted all along. New clothes should make you feel as though your environment is new and renewed, in the best possible way.
Good evening. We cannot destroy kindred: Our chains stretch a little sometimes, but they never break.
I am from Nauru and also now'm speaking English, tell me right I wrote the following sentence: "We estimate names from offering immune treat, increasing detox that asks raw toxins and hours."
Thanks for the help :-), Tyler.
It was obvious ALL of them were saying DONT DO THE RED RUFFLE!!! They said it over and over and you looked like you were in a daze of some kind then later said they never told you not to do it....I dont get it
Laura,
i'm kind of confused about some of the comments you made. You kept saying that Reco wasn't articulating he was just being loud, but I would have to disagree with you. He specifically told you about the situation in which you ignored your teammates and you pretended (or maybe you somehow forgot) that you never knew they told you "NO RED."
I'm not saying that the other designers are better than you, it was just a poor showing for you that round.
Laura,
You were weak in the competition and showed nothing.Your two outfits were horrible, and not wearable. You had no personality and YOU NEVER LISTEN TO YOUR TEAM MATES! you call your self an avantgarde designer but you do not even come close to reaching that title. The show is based on skill and design and you just don't have either going for you.
Chao
Your team DID speak up!! You WOULDN'T LISTEN!
People spoke up about not using the netting before you even left the store. The spoke up about it while you were creating the dress, they spoke up about it it seems before it hit the runway. You just didn't want to hear it. You didn't go home because of poor communication on their part, you went home because you didn't care to be cohesive with your teams vision and made an ugly dress. If you're a whiff of smoke, I've got a good idea where it's being blown.
Your team mates told you not to use that red fabric, but noooo you didnt listen. Goodbye.
Laura, I wish you the best and wish we could have seen more from you. I do take exception to your continued insistence that your teammates didn't speak up. The tape tells a very different story. They spoke so much you say you felt "ganged up on". Haven was explicit at the fabric store about not wanting you to go with the red tulle and felt (rightfully) that you ignored her. Even after seeing the episode, how can you continue to say your teammates did not speak up?
You were "robbed". This show is not based on skill rather how much drama one can create. Your dress was better than the diaper dress or the unfinished garment that was presented on the runway. Anyone in fashion that sends a garment down the runway with safety pins and then asks to be sent home, SHOULD GET THEIR WISH!! I was not a big fan of the netting in the back but thought your design was innovative and better than Marcus' or Johnny's. I have viewed your website at lauradawson.com and feel your portfolio speaks for itself - you are a great designer!!
