I love the Merlin, Bolero Jacket "Cocktail Hour". Where can I get this outfit?

Sew Sew-I not sure where you got I was on a high horse. I never defended Daniella. All I said was his comment was rude and uncalled for. I not a fan of Daniella or her style but Merlin has clearly shown little respect for the people he works with.

And what does it matter if I am a feminist or not to you. I just was commenting that I was not a over sensitive girl about women rights and take every comment as a hit at women success. I def believe in equality but I'm not out preaching about how men are the down fall to women. So this high horse you say I am on is only me thinking people deserve respect, even when you differ on ideas. Such as they did.

And what was Daniella's response? Don't you think it was more of a reaction to his mean degrading comment?

I wonder how you sleep after pouring that much dirt on the designers who were competing with you.

Do you know what a true competition is? The true competition is to pursue excellence in what you are doing.

Prove your qualities with your work!! Not with pouring dirt on others who compete with you!! Behave yourself professionally!

Personally, I agree with City Girl. I mean, i see design potential, but to be a great designer with true talent, you should also be a good person who treats others kindly. And i don't see that. i would not be upset to see Merlin go home. Merlin's attitude would rub me the wrong way if I was in that design room. I don't know why, but just the way he acts and talks and treats others that i find is irritating and insulting. i know this is a competition, but there is no need for negative comments or drama to be started. You don't need divas in the workplace, it just creates more problems. Why would you even want that drama? You got better things to focus on. Honestly, Merlin's blog statement seems a little cocky. Maybe you should be asking for God to make you more humble, because that gets you farther than believing your ideas and designs are better than everyone else's.

You did terrific Merlin. You should be very proud of yourself. Don't wait so long next time before taking charge as a group leader. Make sure you get the color right the first time and get control of your team early. Some people are offended by your methods (you waited too long before taking control of the group), but the deal is about talent and the statement. You showed both and had two of the top designs within your group. Well done!! I also saw your design work on Angela - excellent!! You’re a winner!!!

Mamamia55 -- if you ever watch the Janice Dickinson Modeling Agency, Merlin was on that show once or twice. He was having a show and recruite the JDMA and used some of her models for the runway show. That might be why he looks familiar to you.

Don't knock women and tell them that it is a "male dominated" world when you are obviously jealous that you weren't born a woman... It may be a male dominated world... no thanks to the billions of men who stray to the feminine side and let the rest of the men dominate women and the flaming, female dressing, gay men!!

Merlin, I know your attitude will rub a lot of people the wrong way, but the fact of the matter is, this is a fashion competition, not a personality competition. Even then, I find yours to be quite entertaining. But in regards to your design, I thought it was awesome! I wished that one would have won because I would love to own that entire look!

I love your flair and your striking designs. Daniella's concept for an old-fashioned (read: dated) look for the bolero might have kept your team from first place, had you not reasserted your role as team leader and rescued the project. Your "male domination" comment was uncalled-for, but I'm more bothered by Daniella's apparent dark, brooding spite toward fellow competitors (not just you). When it comes to fashion, I much prefer your inventiveness over Daniella's same-old-same-old safeness. No one ever moved fashion forward by being "safe."

You are obnoxious, but you sure can deliver! You are a master sewer and imaginative. That skirt had a high level of difficulty to accomplish. Especially compared with Haven who admittedly can't even sew!

You are cute and adorable and have great taste in fashion. You are bit over the top, yes, but who cares? Stay a bit humble and rock it. As for Daniella, she's a real bitch (to put it nicely), her style sucks, and she looks like an old maid. Keep up the awesome fashion!

Marlin, you need to listen to other people's ideas before you decide on yours, you are very talented and that can get you far in the fashion industry,if you just take out time for suggestions. I liked your outfits they were cool and in style. You have some good ideas if only you were more easy to work with , think about it.....

Merlin- you did a superb job as head designer!! You must keep control over your team and make decisions as you see fit and that is what you did. That is why your team came out on top. (good call cutting the jacket shorter)

Daniella is a hater and was mos def trying to take over the process. Good job keeping her in check. I cant wait to see her go too.

Kudos on your bolero, it was totally cool, and to heck with Daniella, she was trying to sink you. She's just behind the times and cannot see that you had the better vision. I'm over forty, so I totally agree that her bolero was old, it something I would have worn, what, bakc in 1984, when I was young and cool! Not really, I still would have prefered yours.
