You are truly a unique individual and an amazing designer. You are the reason that I kept watching the show. I am very surprised and upset that you were voted off by the judges. You have so much talent, please keep making beautiful clothes. I hope to someday buy one of your pieces!

Reco you are the only reason i watch the show. Every show has to have a bitch and daniella is that one. She is no match for you, watch her she is scandalous. Im still pissed about week 5 (i cursed the television out on that one). Keep doing what you do best if you dont win this competition i will never watch the FASHION SHOW again.

I'm a little late to comment on this post but I have to say that I disagreed with the judges decision here and I have found myself disagreeing with other decisions as well. There is a certain WTF factor to their decision making.

I found the winning design drab and boring in this challenge.

Reco, you are the reason that I watch the show. I just have to ask' "Where have you been all of my 26 years?" Meaning: when I was looking for an outfit to wear to an special occasion, Graduation, Weddings, Work, etc. you would have been the answer to all my problems! But I was truely upset with the last episode, Your outfit was by far the must stunning and you completed the task. But anyway I am getting married next year in August 2010 I hope you have a wedding dress design by then. Hint!!! I love your speed u remind me of myself when I was sewing back in the day .I didn't stop until I was finished the garment. Especially if it was to be worn the next day. I'm with the majority here. I thought Rico's design and execution was by far the best in the competition. Without a doubt.
Something I noticed about the judging. They seem to pick the easier to manufacture outfit. They do make and sell the garment after the show.
If that is one of the factors for deciding who will win each week, then that is not really judging what is the best garment. That is judging which of the top 2 garments is easier to make. And that is simply unfair. It also makes the judging untrue.

You have talent, but you should keep your mouth shut. Your stuff is not always the best, as seen in several others taking first place. You may be the quickest, and you have technical skills and good vision, but some of your designs are ghastly--the shoes (halloween) come to mind right off.
I don't know if you are so self consumed that you can't see how rude you are to your peers, but consider how you'd feel if someone told you that you need to get some confidence, or any of the other demeaning comments you've made.
Maybe designers are supposed to be ***holes, I don't know. What I do know is that it all comes down to business in the long run, and you're pretty foolish to burn bridges that haven't even been built. Humility is a very attractive quality, and something you could use (even a thimble full would be nice).

I really loved you when the show first started and felt sooo sorry for you to be stuck with the team that you got. As the show unfolds though, I am beginning to dislike you though! You have so much talent and skill with the sewing and thinking up your designs! Why do you have to be so unlikeable as to go so far as to make your competitors feel bad and look like a big braggart?! With your talent you could just "do your thing" and still be humble and nice. You don't have to be so loud and overblown and make everyone around you feel so bad - that never works out in the end! They never let someone like that win! One day you might need one of those people that you're stepping on right now to help you. Remember, Karma's a bit*#!!

You were robbed! I was shocked when the judges chose that other black and navy shapeless 'thing' over your beautiflly designed and executed red ruffled shirt and well fitting skirt ensemble. I would love to wear that design and would buy it if I could get it.
Reco, you are the MOST talented designer and obviously have tight skills, creativity, and awesome vision. You are already a STAR!!!

Reco that outfit was fabulous. I don't understand how you lost. It's all good though. I know we'll be seeing a lot more of you no matter what happens.

Reco...I feel you're very talented - but, give up the "holier than thou" attitude - it's not becoming. Go forward, do what you've been doing and life's challenges will bring you to the forefront I know "if you've got it, flaunt it" but honey....be humble. Keep up the great work - your future awaits. Reco's real sterling moment was in his confessional, in which he fully embraced the challenge in terms of the real women in his life. He was pretty much the only designer who didn't complain or whine, and on top of that, he turned out an amazing outfit that the client clearly loved.

My grandmother was an amazing seamstress for nearly 80 years. Sewing and designing for men, women, and her clients homes. She passed her talents down to my mother, who in turn passed them down to me. I have been around a sewing machine for nearly 50 years. I feel that I am more than qualified to critique the work done on this show.

It seems that today, anyone who likes fashion wants to be a “fashion designer”. To be a true fashion designer a person needs more than a desire, they need skill. In my book a fashion designer should be able to cut their own patterns, dress any body type, and do it with flair and style.

That being said …Your expertise and talent speak for itself. You were robbed this week. Hands down you should have won this challenge. The judges choose Daniella’s dress for one reason, and one reason only – it was much easier and cost effective to recreate for ready-to-wear on bravo’s website.

There is no doubt in my mind that you will go very far in the fashion industry. YOU ROCK.

you are by far a great designer and the construction of your outfits are top notch. in my opinion u should have won this week and the whole competition. i still cant believe u made the ruffles for that red shirt. amazing! the winning outfit was dark and it looked like an outfit batwoman would wear.yours was feminine,well constructed, rich in color,and something a woman can wear and feel good about. i always thought designers had to know how to construct a garment but now i know different because some of their work is sloppy but not yours. do u have a question and answer forum somewhere because i would love to know how u got started and what advice you would give someone who wants to design and construct.

Daniella's dress was very flattering on her mother but who will buy the outfit, except my mother. I do not believe her design fits the age group of the show's viewers. Good luck, though. Like 99% of the viewers I thought your design was THA BOMB!!!! I was crossing my fingers hoping your design won so I could purchase it. Hopefully the producers of the show look at the blogs so they can see how much money they are missing out on.

If the black cocktail dress was offered with the head piece, I would have purchased it. Its the whimsy that you put forth ,which separates you. Don't ever stop.

Your design rocked. The winning design did not rock, but on TV it did meet the criteria for this round-improved the model.

I think they should have sent 2 home, the outfit Merlin made was hideous and absolutely did not meet the round's purpose.

OMG I couldn't believe you didn't win this week's challenge! Come on!! I was looking forward to seeing how much that outfit would sell... The ruffles on the red blouse are to die for... Chic!!! I don't think your outfit was that hot- but the black dress from last week was amazing. Yes you have talent, but you are also very immature. Accept praise & challenge wins with grace & dignity instead of looking pompous and arrogant.

I got into watching this show out of boredom. But it has been very clear to me that you are the only one with real talent on the show. I don't understand how you are not winning every show. Your talent is beyond words and I love your attitude. You were robbed last night...I would have brought your outfit in a minute...don't care for that other outfit that won...looks like it is for old grandmothers

I think you were ROBBED!!! Daniella's dress was very flattering on her model but time and time again your work totally rocks. It is very obvious the amount of time, work, and skill you put into what you send out on the runway. You have never sent some "Half Assed" unfinished outfit down the runway and should be applauded for this. Keep your head up, keep the cattiness to a minimum, stay humble and try not to get to cocky. Cockiness will do you in everytime.

First of all nice outfit on the real women episode, I would love that ensemble. I think that reco has alot of untapped potential, but he is very arrogant and cocky sometimes. But he adds alot of spice and drama to the series, which I think that why I keep watching. if by any chance he doesn't win, I really hope we can get some of his designs.

Reco, you are up there with Kara Saun (?sp), Project Runway contestant on first show. There is no question in my mind of your talent. The fact that you are able to design and execute so quickly, translates that you know your business! Let's face it, the Fashion World refuses to accept the talents of Blacks. Look how long it took Tracey Reese to be recognized.

We do not need Academy Awards or anything else! Reco, you are OUTSTANDING!

You are very talented, but I suspect more than a little insecure. Win on your merit, not on the mind games you seem to need to play. Yes, the world of design is a dog eat dog world and everyone should be able to take what you dish out. I speak from experience so I know how tearing down the competition may seem to get you, the superior designer ahead, but people will not want to work with you no matter how talented you are if they can not trust your truth.

Clearly you are the best designer on the show. Your designs are innovative and amazing. Your execution is impeccable. I don't know why the judges keep sleeping on your skills. But you are definitely a top designer, please keep doing you.
