While some people turn to the Keto diet to shed their baby weight (Jenna Jameson springs to mind here), Kate Hudson is opting for a program that's slightly more old school. The actress, who gave birth to her third child in October and is looking to shed 25 pounds, is the new ambassador for WW (formerly Weight Watchers.)

Hudson has been known to dabble in different diets, but she's at a time in her life when sticking to WW just makes sense. Chatting about her healthy new gig with People, the newborn mama said: "It came at a perfect time for me, because at this point after having three babies it’s like sense memory. You want to start getting back into shape and to get strong again and focus on your own personal health. It’s hard when you have babies. Everyone comes before you, and you have to find that time to just focus in on yourself."

Hudson is currently following WW's "Freestyle" program, which allows members to eat certain foods (such as chicken, fish, and beans) without even tracking them. "I don’t think it’s as much about changing anything, as it is about knowledge of the things that you love. That’s the thing that sets it apart to me from everything else. This is about understanding your wellness. It’s about understanding your fitness activity, understanding your food, understanding the things that you love. It’s about how to balance."

She added: "I can’t wait to start hashtagging ‘zero points’ on everything! I went and had sushi last night and I was plugging everything in, and I was like, ‘Ooh, edamame is zero points.’ I got really excited about that. It makes it fun."

That doesn't mean that Hudson's whole diet will be point-free, however. "A skinny margarita is like five points,” Hudson says. “I’m going to leave myself my points so I can have my margarita!"

Keep scrolling to hear Hudson chat with her fellow WW ambassador, a one Ms. Oprah Winfrey, about her reasons for joining the program.
